Each year the VHEDC raises money through our Golf Tournament and Annual Dinner to sponsor local internships. Students from both Century College and White Bear Lake High School have participated in the program.  Some of the recent businesses that have hosted interns include: Structural Wood Corporation, Fresh Paint, Inc., Impact Group, Micra Manufacturing, Merrick, and IPS Worldwide.

VHEDC regularly assists in coordinating school groups for tours. VHEDC also provides financial assistance to make industry tours possible. Some tours we have recently supported included: Herold Precision Metals, Schwing America, MME group, Structural Wood, Innovize, and the Century College FabLab to name a few.

The VHEDC hosted a series of Community Conversations focused on dialogue about local manufacturing needs.  The event brought together leaders from manufacturing businesses, educational institutions, and non-profits.  We thank everyone who participated in this initiative.
